Privacy Policy

Last reviewed on April 24, 2026

This policy explains what information TimerZen.com ("TimerZen," "we," "us," "the site") collects when you visit, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, and the rights you have over it. It applies to every page on the timerzen.com domain.

Summary

Information we collect

Information you provide directly. If you choose to email us, the message (and anything you include in it) will contain your email address and whatever you write. That is the only way to give personal information to TimerZen directly.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically receive standard web request data when you load a page, including:

Local storage. Timer pages save a single preference in your browser's local storage (timerMuted) so the mute toggle persists across visits. This data never leaves your browser.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

Google AdSense and advertising

TimerZen is supported by advertising. We participate in the Google AdSense program, and Google is a third-party vendor whose ads may appear on the site.

As required by Google's program policies, we disclose the following:

More information about how Google uses data from sites and apps that use Google services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google's own privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

For users in regions that require consent for non-essential cookies (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), Google's consent mechanisms will ask for your choice before personalised advertising cookies are set.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TC4GYW5NT2) to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics may process limited personal data (such as your IP address and device identifiers) as a data processor on our behalf. Google's privacy information for Analytics is available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out site-wide using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies

Detailed information about the cookies and local storage we use, including how to manage or delete them, is in our separate Cookie Policy.

Third-party services we rely on

Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them if you want to understand their practices in full.

Legal bases (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal bases on which we rely are:

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over the limited personal data we hold:

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as defined under California law. TimerZen does not sell personal information for money. Some ad-related data sharing with advertising partners may qualify as "sharing" under California law; you can exercise choice over personalised advertising using the links under "Your choices" below. Requests can be sent via the contact details below and will not result in discriminatory treatment.

To exercise any right, email privacy@timerzen.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding; we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Your choices

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics (we use a short retention window, no longer than needed to understand year-over-year usage). Server request logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted or rotated. Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to handle your enquiry, and then deleted. Data controlled by Google (for advertising or analytics) is retained according to Google's own retention schedules.

International transfers

The services listed above are operated by global providers, and your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required, those providers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to provide an adequate level of protection.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold, but no online service is perfectly secure. If you suspect a security issue with TimerZen, please get in touch using the address below.

Children

TimerZen is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in how the site works, in the services we use, or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last reviewed on" date at the top of this page. For material changes, a short note will be added to the top of this page for a reasonable period.

Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@timerzen.com. For general questions about the site, see the contact page.

TimerZen is operated as an independent website. Governing law and jurisdiction for privacy-related complaints are as described in our Terms of Service. If you are in the EEA/UK and have unresolved privacy concerns, you have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
