How do I use a timer?

Open any timer page, press Start, and the countdown begins. Space toggles start/pause and R resets. When the countdown finishes, a short sound plays and the page changes colour; pressing any key, clicking, or tapping silences it.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. TimerZen runs entirely in your browser. There is no sign-up, no download, and no "pro" tier.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The pages are responsive, so a timer works on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops with the same controls.

Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?

Most modern browsers throttle background tabs to save power, which can delay the end-of-timer alert on a tab you are not looking at. For accurate timing, keep the timer tab in the foreground, or use your device's system timer for truly time-critical tasks.

Why is there a mute option?

Because sometimes you want a silent countdown — in a meeting, a quiet room, or overnight. The mute preference is remembered in your browser.
